As background, I did a couple of animations for the CONAFE while working for the university: "El dueño del pozo" (The well's owner) and "El conejo que quería visitar la luna" (The rabbit who wanted to visit the moon). These won honorific mentions in the 1st Mexican Biennial of Video 1990. In 1993 I illustrated my first book: "Coalas, canguros y otros bichos" (Coalas, kangaroos and other bugs) for the Pangea publishing house. After that, I was immediately called to illustrate the free text books "Spanish 3" and "Spanish 4" for the SEP. I later joined the illustration efforts for textbooks at SM editions. I've also illustrated books like "...Y los dragones se fueron" (...And the dragons were gone) by Ana Luisa Anza, which got the CANIMEM award in 1998, and "BZZZ", written by Gabriela Peyron for Corunda and Conaculta, "The book of sound" (El libro del Sonido), by Julieta Fierro for the Nuevo México publishing house. And I still work for many publishing houses.
